walnuts have a positive effect on your blood lipid values?

An epidemiological study was carried out on people from the region around Dauphiné (France). People living in this region have integrated both walnuts and  oil into their diets. Study results showed that participants who frequently ate walnuts had higher HDL cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol) and apolipoprotein A-1 levels than the control group, which declared its walnut consumption as low. HDL cholesterol is a "benign" form of cholesterol. Similarly, apolipoprotein A-1 is thought to have a protective effect against diseases of the cardiovascular system.
